The first video showed the bike. This one shows it on the road and going up a steep hill. It is quite a capable little bike. It's too bad they are no longer produced. There are no fancy electronic speed controllers on this bike, just 2 speeds using relays. It didn't need anything more. I had another one like this years ago that I modified for 3 batteries & a golf cart motor. I disassembled it. It was too dangerously fast for such a small frame. Leaving this one stock is just right. I also have a stock Auranthetic 3-wheel "Charger" stored away. It just needs batteries. Not everyone knows that an Auranthetic 3-wheeler existed. It is likely the last one anywhere.

If anyone else has one of these old bikes or 3-wheelers, please put up a video of yours. It's hard to know how many are still around if there are any.

  • i found one of these covered up in a junkyard

    bought it home

now that ive seen this video

i know what they can do

thanks for puttin the vid up

  • You're welcome. You have found a treasure! I hope you enjoy restoring it. Your work will be rewarded when you get to ride it. These little bikes attract attention everywhere you go(especially with today's gas prices). The torque of the motor will surprise you. These bikes get up to speed quickly. Remember to keep the wheel spokes tight and do not ride with low battery power or you can damage the motor. Enjoy!

  • Awesome! I love it. I have been looking for one of these for a few years.

I Havent had much luck! :)

  • Thank you! Here are some places to look for them: Ebay, Craigslist, Cycle Trader, Recycler, internet searches. These units were also marketed under another name "Keene". Search that name as well. I really hope you find one and restore it. Please show us when you do.

  • They were spelled Keen. Not Keene.

  • Thanks for the correction. Its been a very long time since I've seen one under the Keen brand name. Well, at least I didn't mis-spell Auranthetic.

  • Just got mine.

Need a tail light lens and a new "throttle switch"

  • Hey Cap"n, I bought one 13 years ago, I hooked up a couple of batteries and foolishly tested it by riding it full throttle, it went backwards and slammed me in the garage door. The key and switch were never there and i used series and parallel hookups for range or speed. I broke the throttle cable 6 years ago and just brought it out for my son to ride (crash) on the grass. I used to ride it on our golf course and once layed it down and battery acid burned my leg. Will have pics soon Thanks BP

  • As I mentioned on your previous video, there are quite a few other two-wheelers and some three-wheelers out there. I've received pics of owner's bikes from all over including a few from Europe
