  • @MorkaGraven Actually, no. A spinet harpsichord, like a full size harpsichord, plucks strings with jack and plectra. The strings on a full size harpsichord run from front to back. On a spinet, they run diagonally (at an angle) to save space and make the instrument smaller. The strings of a clavichord are struck with brass tangents, and clavichord strings run from left to right, not diagonally or front to back.

  • @lichtbroeder You're thinking of a Clavichord

  • The name of that song is????

  • lichtbroeder is right, spinets and harpsichords differ in size and shape (though they have the same principle of sound generation). the relationship is similar to that of upright piano and grand piano

  • Hi. May I ask what tune you are playing?

  • All is called SPINETT .Or Spinet... Anyways ... It's just the SOUND that's called Harpsi. :)

  • Lovely sound, nicely played! But aren't spinets smaller, with diagonal strings? Or can any harpsichord be called a spinet?
