iPhone 3G Wi-Fi Problem

The problem is when i activate the wifi, it shows the searching circle for a full round and it dissappears for 10 seconds, then turns another round and dissappears for another 10 seconds again.
What can be the problem? Any Ideas?

connect to wifi before u cant detect any wifi again..
and tap ">" icon, and tap "forget this network"
then try again, hope this help..

i bought mine used and it was like this, i jailbroke it and unlocked it, i brought it to a phone repair shop and they called me saying "you know your wifi dont work right" lol... i see alot of people doing the oven trick and taking the screen off to fix it, but nothing has worked (and for the dumbasses talking about airplane mode, mine hasnt ever been on and it does it) i even replaced the whole wifi inside and nothing.. maybe using it as a touch and getting a new one..

@Juggalokanex6 Hey, sorry about your phone. The story is the same for me. Did you try to use the heatgun technique? It made my wi-fi came back for 5 minutes after 8 months without wi-fi. Though, after which i did that again and again till i mess my phone up. I guess other parts expect the wifi chip should be well protected before applying heatgun. That was where i lacked i guess. Anyways, if you haven't yet, try it and let me know.

If you operaend the iphone and replaced the flex cable, there's a small connector on top left maybe you forgot to reconnect it, because I did and i feel really stupid now
