The Fargo Flood of 2009 (slide show)

The Fargo Flood of 2009 is the worst the Midwest has EVER recorded:

After a winter of constant blizzards and rain, the weather started to warm up, but not enough to thaw the ground. As a result of frozen ground and melting snow, the two rivers in the Valley: The Red River and The Wild Rice River are over flowing. The crest of the two rivers is 43 feet above sea level. Most homes in that area flood in the thirty feet levels. The people of Oxbow, a little suburb of Fargo, have evacuated, and the only way to evacuate was by boat or by helicopter (no joke). And for the people of Moorhead, MN, another suburb, they have evacuated as well. In a township called Oakport, houses are burning down and flooding horribly. All schools in the area are closed until April 6th, 2009, or when the flood is over. The city of Fargo, ND has a population of 92,000 but has had over 100,000 volunteers help fight this flood. The National Guard is here to help but we still need the thoughts and prayers of many. Please keep the people affected by this flood in your prayers and thoughts. I have personally been working A LOT lately to help people I dont even know. I could go on and on about this situation but it would probably be WAY to long.
