The Raduga 3M-80, 3M-82 and Kh-41 Moskit (SS-N-22 Sunburn) are all variants of the same 4.5 tonne supersonic rocket-ramjet missile. This weapon is the primary armament of the PLA-N's new 956E Sovremennyy class destroyers and is credited with a range between 50 and 120 nautical miles. An air launch centreline tunnel adaptor enables Su-27/30 family strike fighters to carry a single round and this configuration has been displayed on the navalised Su-33. A coastal defence variant labelled the Moskit E is in development, with a two round TEL based on the MZKT-7930 chassis.
Inertial midcourse guidance is supplemented with an Altair active radar seeker - there are no reports to date of land attack derivatives.
Unlike subsonic Western anti-ship missiles such as the Harpoon and Exocet, the Moskit is a supersonic sea-skimmer. It can be programmed to fly a high altitude trajectory at Mach 3, or a sea-skimming trajectory at Mach 2.2. If the sea skimming mode is chosen, the missile will be first detected by a warship under attack when it emerges over the horizon at a distance of about 15 to 25 nautical miles. This provides the defences on the ship with about 25-60 seconds of warning time before impact. The raw speed of the Moskit makes it a challenging target for most shipboard defences.

Look at the table "Equivalence Table" :)

In the column "Western Weapon" you will find a lot of "None". Why? Because the military power of Russia was not invented, it is an objective reality.

Certain statements in this article is fundamentally wrong. For example the author does not know what distinguishes military from civilian electronics. With a tighter and the problem can be solved in different ways at different elemental base with the same result. Our electronic industry can not produce a commercial analog processor Pentium-4, but the military with ease. According to this when we did not lag behind in military technology, and usually faster than the world, as they were one of the best academic schools in the world.

  • @Bobby3OOO he said "vot tolka tolka" in context "vot tolka tolka rot otkroyte" which mean "they will only just open their mouths to speak" - when that rocket will be 1km in one direction. and he isnt drunk, some people just have that kind of manner of speaking

  • @malovecji Don't give up hope. America is master of internet porn! We invented fast food and Wall Street rules the world! • Only thing is sea skimmer weapons are very in accurate. There has not been one comfirmed kill from a live action engagment of this weapon system..

Silly Russians put lots of crap on you tube.

  • @memadmax69 CIWS can only effectively shoot down missiles about a kilometer from the ship, so it cannot defend other ships from such attack (only if it sails a few hundred meters from the other, but that is dangerous). AEGIS uses has slower reaction time agains sea skimers than CIWS and has limited capacity against such low altitude threat. Torpedoes are slow, the sub has to get within 20-25km of the ship and there are torpedo decoys.

  • @S300V You are right. But consider this: it takes around 30-40 seconds to reload ciws, AND the biggest thing that most people forget: a carrier never sails alone, she always has a few escorts close by when she is away from home. Those escorts also have ciws and aegis. So, if you wanted to guess how many missles it would take to sink a carrier? alot. You're better off getting a diesel electric sub and trying to pump her full of torpedos. In fact, it would be optimal, dmg wise.

  • @memadmax69 The enemy will try again. 60 seconds, how many missiles will CIWS handle? 2,3,4? Enemy launches 5 or 6. CIWS is only a final ditch effort to save the ship.

  • This cruise missile in unstoppable with a speed of 2,5mach and 400km range and Iran have made hundreds of them .

All Nato war ships will have a wet graves in the Persian Gulf.

When Saddam attacked a US warship in the Persian Gulf the radar system saw the Iraqi Mirage at 50 miles and later saw it turn away but the radar didnt see the Exoset missile fire and it hit the US war ship but this missiles are 4 times faster then the Exorset with 3 times the range and much bigger warhead.

    Nato is FUCKED

  • .....

The biggest, and ONLY threat to a ship is a torpedo....

You can pump a USS nuclear aircraft carrier full of missles and she will still carry on... why?

Because she is designed to. But 4 well placed torpedos will sink her.

    Why?

Because you punched a hole in her belly... god... nobody learns from history....

  • Its big, it's mean, but it will make a great target for CIWS......

    Try again!

  • at 2:21 thats not something you see everyday ... thanks for upload
