@Ninj4Juic3b0x Rand is being corrupted by the dark one. The dark one wants him to lose his humanity via constantly making himself harder and harder to do what needs to be done. I think this scene is a great example of how insidious the dark one truly is.

@Ninj4Juic3b0x The Dark One wants The Dragon and grants him access to the True Power. I think its kind of like channeling the One Power for the first time. He needed something, more than anything, and he got it, the only way he could, the True Power.
