i am 22 from michigan with spina bifida. trust me the first 5 to 7 years are tuff especially if she goes through all the surgeries i had to . but if you want to get the hospital bills covered go to a local VA office. if this was do to someone being in the vietnam war then you might be able to get va checks once a month especially if she uses catheters and depends.

aww, shes so cute!! im really sorry about the SB though, but she'll definately be fine. I'm sure the doctor already told you about a shunt they can surgically install to drain excess CSF. My ex boyfriend had SB, and hes totally fine, looks normal, and they removed his shunt at 21. Ting Ting is so beautiful! congrats!
