the only men who witthold a ghet are abusive men. Most beat their wives, and often their children too. The Israeli police have been known to force bruised and battered women back to the husband; Israeli hospitals too. The Israeli courts are nothing short of misogynist.

WHY do these schmucks leave comments feeling bad for the batterers? These men should be in JAIL. At least let the women get divorces!!! Anyone who disagrees with that, I just wonder, what he does to his wife.

And a woman who is beaten did not go to the police, the hospital, anywhere?

Yes, it is possible that she was telling the truth but a court cannot rely on someone who comes without any proof at all or disputed proof.

These stories are very one-sided and show a complete lack of understanding for how any court, whether beit din or secular must work.

I'm not sure that this kind of obvious exaggeration, sarcasm and disrespect for the Rabbinic Courts helps the cause of the real agunot.
