This recording is of a talk given by Professor Stephen Kinsella of UL on the topic 'Financial Fragility & Corporate Governance today'.
He covers a diverse set of topics from his wealth of knowledge (he has not one but two PhD's!One in Mathematical Economics and another in Economic History). One of the pivotal arguments put forward in this talk is that of the self destructive nature of credit cycles as put forward by Minsky.
This talk has an excellent questions and answers session afterwards in what is currently a very topical and relevant subject.
There is a brief synopsis by Stephen at the start of the video, after the talk there is questions and answers and the final clip is a quick clip of what Stephen would do to solve the situation if he was in charge.
This talk was a pleasure to attend, if you missed it we hope you enjoy catching up with it on our new youtube channel! Please be sure to send this video on to colleagues who may benefit from it, and we encourage comments as well as relevant observations.
Enjoy.
