God is not great - The Hitchens Challenge

On page 150 of his book "God is not great" author Christopher Hitchens declares "what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."

YouTube Atheist spokesman Darrel "Seabass" Dumass decides to Hold Hitchen's book to his own rigorous standards. The result is 51 assertions made by Hitchens without any supporting evidence,* which you may now expunge from your personal copy.

Some examples:

Page 40 - "Nothing optional is ever made punishable unless those who do the prohibiting have a repressed desire to participate."

Page 17 - "Religion must seek to interfere with the live of non-believers.... it wants power in this world."

Page 98 - "The syncretic tendencies of monotheism, and the common ancestry of the tales, mean in effect that a rebuttal to one is a rebuttal to all."

Page 176 - "In no real as opposed to nominal sense then, was he (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.) a Christian."

Page 46 - "the attitude of religion to medicine, like the attitude of religion to science, is always necessarily problematic and very often necessarily hostile."

Page 125 - "All religions take care to silence or execute those who question them."

Page 250 - "Totalitarian systems, whatever outward form they may take, are fundamentalist and, as we would now say, faith based."

Page 254 - "Atheists have at all times and all places been subject to ruthless suppression."

Page 5 - "We (atheists) do not believe in heaven or hell, yet no statistic will ever find that without these blandishments and threats we commit more crimes of greed or violence than the faithful."

Page 64 - "All attempts to reconcile faith with science and reason are consigned to failure and ridicule."

Page 86 - "All these disputes, when or if they are resolved, will be resolved using the scientific and experimental methods that have proven themselves so far."

Page 102 - "The Bible may, indeed does, contain a warrant for trafficking in humans, for ethnic cleansing, for slavery, for bride-price, and for indiscriminate massacre, but we are not bound by any of it because it was put together by crude, uncultured human mammals."
