Columbine Shooting - Cafeteria Bombs

Rare interview with Bruce Porter, from Littleton Colorado. It sheds some light on the propane bombs planted in the columbine cafeteria, something that a lot of people don't know about. Although some things Bruce stated on this interview were later proved to be innacurate, he did speak closely with law enforcment officials from the columbine investigation and was pretty much involved with the tragedy's aftermath.

It was a gym duffel bag, nothing unusual for a high school cafeteria. Plus the bags with the bombs were placed by the shooters aproximately at 11:10, minutes before they were set to explode at 11:17.

I am 15 and i make pipe bombs and other shit. Those propane tanks, idk how they had ir set up. But i would use one propane tank, duct tape nails and marbles around, glass jars of gas taped on, with a flash

Powder pipe bombs on top. Now that take out five hundred easy. Also u could put some muster gas in it and in the airvent. Then chained every door but the front. Wen they ran out set up mines and trip wires. Then start fireing and throw pipebombs with alot of shrapnal and gas.

They didnt go back and get their bombs and try some other day because they had scratched out the 17th on prom posters and wrote in "20th. Yeah its coming!" And then that morning on the school broadcast at the bottom of the screen a message rolled across saying "its a bad day to be here" and when they pulled up one of their friends happened to be outside and they told him to get out of here because they "liked" him.

continued They didn't know a thing about guns, either. First criticism, why the fuck would use a 9mm round? If Eric wanted a rifle, he should have used an SKS carbine. Costs under $200, 10 round magazine, and 7.62x39mm is a much more powerful round than 9mm. Dylan should have used a Cobray Mac 10 if he wanted a handgun with a high capacity magazine. Not only is it much better quality than the TEC-9M, it is fitted for the .45ACP, a round well-known for it's stopping power.

Had Eric and Dylan's incendiaries gone off, the death toll would have been something similiar to Timothy McVeigh's record, 168. The 'bomb' itself was not very sophisticated. It wasn't even an explosive. And the 'detonator' was merely black powder cased in a steel pipe attached to two analogue clocks. At best, their bomb was mediocre. I would have used an ETN or a PETN charge, and would have detonated with an HMTD blasting cap. A gram would do it. That would have levelled the entire cafeteria.

Eric and Dylan should be considered radical martyrs, radical in the tense that what they did wasn't standing up to the people bullying them or going to the school psychiatrist. They just went straight to killing them. Radical meaning extreme. This should send a message to the bullies out there.

@akonvict If they wanted their plan to work, then that's exactly what they should have done. Unequipped all their gear and retrieved the bag and left. That would have caused more traumatic damage though because now you're looking at 500+ deaths compared to less than 20 deaths

@ShotGunToYourHead nope pistol ammo 4 times according to the autopsy and all from the left hand side. What he said about rachel was also bullshit. She was shot but eric, dylan or both from a distance. I got the pictures of the scene she was killed and its just a smallish scruffy line of grass with a path in the middle like an outside corridor. No real signs of anything going on really untill the doors further down.
