Chris Cassone's whirlwind tour of tea party events on April 15, 2009, performing "Take Our Country Back" starting with a live network appearance. Events include New Haven Long Wharf, Hartford State House steps and Dutchess Stadium, Fishkill, NY

Chronology:
5:30 AM sound check at fox, 48th & 6th (in the rain)
6:30 on air
7:30 head nort on I-95
11:00 New Haven Long Wharf
11:30 head north on I-91 ( with traffic jam and gridlock in capitol area...I had to park on on-ramp of I-84)
12:30 Hartford State House (CT's capitol) North Steps
1:30 west on I-84 to NY
7:00 Dutchess stadium (minor league baseball) Fishkill, NY

Take Our Country Back

I woke up today like I was still dreaming
It seems our country has begun to disappear
Our enemies theyre constantly scheming Principles are hardly seen Especially by those who lead

Day after day I feel a little more helpless
To these changes happening right before our eyes
Our Bill of Rights is moving faster to the left Soon theyll try to take away the only voices left that say the truth
(theres one thing left to do)
Take it back. Take our Country back.
Cant you see that were under attack
Draw a line in the sand so they all understand
And our nation stays intact

I remember when the planes hit New York City
It hit us all like a shot right through the heart
Look around now its such a pity The enemies are closing in Especially the ones within (and theres one thing we must do..)

Now my Dad he was one of the valiant
The generations who shed their blood so we are free
Over there they fight our Founding Fathers might If they saw the mess we made Theyd all be rolling in the grave (and theres one thing we must do..)

Our way of life now is under attack

Take it back for who? The folks who trampled all over the constitution the past 8 years? Or for the VP that claimed he wasn't part of the executive branch? Way to preserve the foundation of the country.
