  • I would have to add that if this were the case, it would still beg the question of where did the "mind of god" come from? Which would inevitably lead back to he, she, it or they, as being a natural product of the universe and STILL would in no way be "supernatural".

  • Yeah, it affected me too! I rolled that around in my head a little, and actually used it for a theistic argument for a while. My thought wasn't that we were plugged into, but actually a product of that super-computer (gods mind) and we existed only in thought. It is very interesting to think about it! However, it is based on the metaphysical and can't be tested (yet?).

Who knows where new discoveries in quantum mechanics and such will take us? We may find that we don't exist at all?!? =D

forever exploring an unlimited array of realities. We'd be plugged into massive super-computers which would allow us 2 explore the unimaginable. It'd b true immortality. What species could possibly resist that?

When I 1st saw the very 1st movie, I lost a couple days sleep. It shook me up that much. It botheredd me that it bothered me that much, know what I mean? It was like something I known all along but had forgotten!

I don't share that too often. Anyway, its something fun to ponder.

Not far fetched at all. Well, what I mean, in light of everything else, its no more far fetched than an invisible god running around creating things!

But my favotite is the Matrix. I've had the honor of talking to a couple of Physicists who believe as I do, that a Matrix is not only highly likily, but is inevitable in our not too distant future. For all we know, we've already reached that future and have long ago created a matrix. Y would this be an absolute probability? Bcuz we could live

  • I agree with you there! I suppose the chances of ET seeding the earth would be infinitely higher than a deity creating the universe ex nihilo!

Or maybe... We learn how to time travel and we go back in time and our doing so causes the big bang, thus setting into motion the whole universe, abiogenesis and evolution?!? Hey! we could be god!=D

Well, maybe not... that last one was a little far fetched... I think?

  • OM

Yes, & the point I think Dawkins was trying 2 make was; its much more practical & believable 2 consider the "ET seeding" theory than 2 accept that an invisble sky god waved his magic wand! Also, as U say, the ET theory wouldn't involve "magic," just advanced technology.

When U think about it, with the billions of galaxies, the ET theory is not only likely, but highly probable. Also we R late bloomers, Cosmologically speaking. Other life could B a million yrs ahead of us. Just a thought!

Good point, & I wonder why the creator of the universe would come 2 this insignificant speck of dust & choose a band of dessert Nomads 2 call his very own...his chosen people! No disrespect 2 Jews. It would be the same if he chose my race & called us special, above all others!

It simply makes no sesne....at all!! I'd think the only practical, respectful thing 4 a god to do would be 2 choose the entire race 2 call his own & treat every1 the same. But as we see in the OT, it jus' ain't so

It is a powerful analysis of Bock's mentality. Thanks 4 sending me this.

Incredibly, I'd never seen or heard of Brock until U sent this.

The 1st thing I noticed about Brock was that he harbors such an intense hatred of us non-believers that he can't hide it no matter how hard he tries. Another obvious characteristic of his is that he always mis-states our positions on everything. This is intentional of course bucz its a fact that Brock has no honor or integrity! Only his agenda matters

  • excellent point 0pnMnded! i often speak about why would god have any need to get into the drama of humans, and just a few humans at that. makes zero sense.

christians are sheltered from their leaders who don't see anything wrong with all the murder, rape, incest, animal sacrifices and abuse, etc... in the bible. that is how the myths of religion are maintained in our world.

  • Great vid! 5/5
