Palemo is Buenos Aires biggest "barrio". But it's it's smallness that makes it it haven.
Palermo is divided in 3 distinct areas.
Palermo Viejo is home to residential streets as well as nice restaurants and shops. Palermo Hollywood is growing in size and... Height! As for Palermo Soho, it is, as far as I'm concern, the best neighborhood of South America.
High class boutiques and restaurants, trees, big commercial streets and parks make this place unforgettable. But "las esquinas" (the corners) and the small shops they reveal is truly the heart of this huge city and what makes it so special.
This is why I will alway come back here. Palermo, Buenos Aires.
Because this was backpacking trip, my equipment has to be highly portable, compact and light.
