The rule it seems to be, and this only mostly applies to Disney classics cause sequels don't count as as both character's parents met in original movie - is the ABSENCE or LOSS of parent(s). Doesn't always mean the parents have to be killed off. The character either has a single parent for no known reason, the known reason is that the other parent died of a disease, one or both parents were killed, the character is introduced as an orphan, the character gets separated from his/her parents etc.
Sleeping Beauty was not dead. Rewatch the film genius the fairy chick made it to where she wouldn't die but fall asleep till the dude kissed her....hence the title.....
lol. alright... um some are like that...but the child dosnt notic...unless the child is a little older asking..i never notice until well now u pointed out to me, death is a part of life...no its not always parietals are gonna die..and Disney dosnt have one writer...there are more then one...and some arnt done that way!! might as well dont give a child a gold fish....Its might die -.-..explane that one to a child more!! i understood it was a cartoon not life when i was a kid!!
I grew up with Disney films and I thought they were cool, that is until I started showing them to my 4 year old. I don't think people realize how many times the words "kill" and "die" are actually said in Disney movies. You would be surprised.
