I remember a cinema down town and a choice between going to see sleeping beauty or cinderella....there or top of town....I have no idea which way round it went but i do remember cinderella.....
I've lived there all my life and it was great fun when I was a teenager and early 20's in the 1980's, but, it's a dump now. Oh for the days of The Masonic, The Friars, Phipps' Chip shop, Donadini's and being able to walk around town of an evening without the lowlife that hang around there after 6pm. Happy days.
I loved Haverfordwest. worked there for two years in the end of the 1990s restoring and reopening the cinema at the top of town. Would still be there if the Company hadn't gone bust!
The only critisism is that the tow becomes rather sleepy after 9pm and it is too "cut off" to escape from for a few hours to sample the "real world" for a while and then return to this lovely haven. So, I did go a little stir crazy there even if I miss it terribly. Definitely one of the most unique places.
folow the van up the road for about 5 miutes, go past the lights and over the roundabout, take the first left that isnt into a house and my house is right there! ha ha!
Woah, no ones commented on this for a while...
