Discussion on what I believe is the first step, and most important, in permanently changing your lifestyle and eating better: learning how to read your body, what it likes and what it doesn't. It's not until you know the difference between how your body feels when it's healthy vs unhealthy that you will take the necessary steps to keep it feeling and running great!

Worked for me! Hope it helps you too!

Dont feel guilty about a slip up, its not healthy 2 associate treats w/ guilt, just say, "Mm, that was good, & totally worth all the salad Im going 2eat 2mrrow 2 balance it out." Thats y I like this 4wk challenge, u get 2eat what u want & it helps u learn how2 balance those treats that arent good for u into ur lifestyle @ a healthy/realistic rate.<3

  • Well I just saw this video and I'm gonna start this Monday so I can go grocery shopping for this!! I've lost 26 pounds and have 30 more to go!! Excited about seeing the results after I start cutting out all of the junk!! Love the Ice Cream Alternative video by the way!!

  • When i would go to meets, i would have one pancake or oatmeal and no milk product. But since my events were in the afternoon i was only allowed to eat whole wheat bread with a spoonful of peanut butter an orange, and a small cup of water. Because when you eat too much before a race, your just asking for bloating, fatigue, and cramps.

  • @missdstdeuce im a freshman in college and I'm on my second semester, and I've been in that boat since track season stopped. Is it normal to gain weight at this time yet still be hungry. My aerobics instructor said it was because of the metabolism that I'm always hungry. (btw, I ran track for 7 years)

  • OMGosh! You minister on sooooo many levels. God bless you!

  • could you make a step 2 please.

I'm also going to try this out. Ill inform you on my progress :D

  • I agree with you 100% that you feel better when you eat better!

I am also a former track sprinter and my all time 60m personal record came from a meet in H.S. when I ate pizza, nachos, and hot dogs that day- pr'ed in in prelims and finals. I always ate healthy prior to that day. Never ran so fast again, not even in college...so I can't relate to the apple before a race part lol!

  • Wow i have been feeling sluggish and tired all of the time n it took me until this yr to realize that it's all the candy that I eat! It's like I have to have a 'desert' after every meal. I now realize that I have some type of sugar addiction n the funny thing is I don't even eat with wht sugar unless I combine it with brn sugar so my intake of it is less. I eat a healthy meal like chicken or fish with vegetables and go thru about a case of water a wk it's just this candy that gets me everytime!

  • @kdw4jc I'm glad you said "almond milk" because cow's milk is terrible for humans.

  • What happens if you eat an apple before a race?

  • You are awesome!!
