  • Grzegorz.

Love the visual....Shades of Roman Polanski's Chinatown...reminds me of LA.

Would love to travel in that relaxed atmosphere ..not the ridiculous OVER THE TOP Security we hae to put up with today. The song is WONDERFUL!

Great Orchestra and the plaintive vocal is DIVINE! Who is singing?

  • Yes, there's something of early Polanski in these photoes...as wll as American cinema noir (which I absolutely adore). That photo of a huge waiting hall of some train station - with only several tiny figurines of passengers on benches waiting for their connections - and some of these silhouettes blurred by early technique of photography - is breathtaking

  • @fredjmp Brigada, Fred!! Adoro os vídeos desse canal!! Beijo!

  • Marvelous record! Tthat plaintive vocalist is the Chicago-based FRANK SYLVANO, who did tons of recording with all number of bands (mostly for Brunswick) from 1924 up to about 1934 or so. Great singer.

  • what are the lyrics??

  • Wonderful music and pictures. Thanks a lot.

  • GEEEEEZE! There is sompthing about this song that drives Me wild! This and lots of other songs from this era!

  • This has got to be one of most favorit songs ever!!! I Played this in my 1925 Dodge Brothers when I drove to with friends all around Pettit Jean Mountain Arkansas. along with a few other Jones tunes I got on some Brunswick 78s. I transfured them to a cassette tape and played it on a little mock radieo that i mounted under the dash. It does very well in playing these songs, And everyone who hears thim playing inside the car, LOVES IT! Thank You for posting.
