MEMS group at Tamkang University, Tamsui, Taiwan has developed a new version of flapping micro aerial vehicles (MAV; not means micro adult video.) The total span of this MAV is only 20 cm, and the total body mass is only 6 g. The flight endurance is supposed to be more than 1 minute.

  • WTF it looks like just an RC helicopter

  • No!

    It is an ornithopter or what we called the flapping micro aerial vehicle made by ourselves. It flies like a bird or a bat.

  • Yer but i've seen loads of videos with a really professional operator doing that with an ordinary RC helicopter.

  • This flapping micro aerial vehicle is remotely controlled. It of course needs an operator to control its flight attitude and height. The control box on the operator's hand is similar to the RC helicopter case.
