  • I have 3 questions for you chrisivision07,

    1) Was Joe Dunn the only TJW player to win 3 cars?

    2) Did Joe Dunn officially retire undeafeated on the very next episode?

    3) Is the next TJW episode the last episode to air during the "Dark Period"?

Those questions are posed because the episodes were originally aired in March 1983 according to Kris Lane's S6 TJW episode list he had.

  • I'm not the best authority, but I would say yes to (1), 3 episodes after this one for (2), and not sure on (3). These were recorded at the end of the dark period (on the same tape as Dunn's last show I have recorded the last GSN aired eps. of Diamond Head, $20K Pyr., Hot Potato, etc.), but I seem to remember this season of TJW airing beyond this point for awhile longer. Not really sure.

  • "The Joker's Wild" Audience End Game for most of the telecasts was from September 1981 and goes all the way to September 1985.

  • In fact, this season continued airing until the September after the DP ended, and then they moved on to Cullen's last season.

  • I remember someone mentioning the person who did that. As for the devil, whoever drew that probably had Jack stand still so he could copy his face.

  • I'm just curious who drew the graphics on the slides.

  • Rob Griffin is 2nd, and Frank Dillon is 3rd, is this correct?

  • Clarenece took off too soon, at the end, before the closing credits. I think the director told him to go back there, to chat up with Jack!

  • Was it by 1982 The Joker's Wild had every episode have for the last segment the studio audience FACE THE DEVIL round? I never liked this!

  • The lever sound was also used in the brief CBS run of Tic Tac Dough in the 70s before it went into syndication.

  • Eileen Jason, who won $55,280 - about $15,000 of it in cash, played in at least 13 or 14 games, and she was defeated prior to her 15th game, if I recall. She has the highest total of anyone in the history of this program, including ToC winnings, which equate to over $305,000-plus.

  • Billy Joel's Allentown was on the charts at the time this episode was taped and/or aired.
