It's because he's having fun! Imagine doing this show for over 6 years, the same role every single flipping night, 8 times in a week. It'd get boring after awhile and would want to have a little, not to over the top, fun!

Gavin is a lovely actor from what I can gather but I do agree with the other two comments on here. I think Broadway and the american way has gone to his head a bit sadly. I wish he would give up Bert now and come back to the UK and see his British fans. We miss him!!!!!!!!!:( xx

Gavin Lee does act a bit drunk sometimes and Laura M Kelly does her own random different thing each night. She does not keep to her steps and does her own thing or blows kisses to people in the first few rows. I can't understand her!

great video of the curtain call but why does that cocky Gavin Lee playing Bert have to wave like a drunk and show us his bum at 1:27
He used to be such a lovely actor but I think Broadway has gone to his head and he's now become a bit cocky and a bit of a smart arse. Shame. Apart from Gavin being silly this is a great video with a great cast. thanks for posting. People like you should soooo film the show more. How do you get away with it? I never would sadly. Theatre ushers in the uk are strict
