E.5 PETERS & BROWN-FOY (PSG & INT-1)

Janet Brown-Foy judges the Prix St. George and Intermediare-1 movements. Steffen Peters begins to work with Young Rider Mica Mabragana and Granada on the half pass. This is the 5th of 12 videos from the PSG and Int-1 session of the Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association's 2007 Symposium for Judges, Trainers, and Competitors, featuring Olympic Bronze Medalist Steffen Peters and FEI-I judge Janet Brown-Foy. Participating horses and riders in this session are Granada ridden by Mica Mabragana and Oscar ridden by Kathy Rosenbloom. This session has 12 videos and totals 100 minutes. Mica and Granada were invited to and competed in the FEI Young Rider World Cup in Frankfurt Germany in December 2007. They rode for Argentina, Mica's home country. The pair placed 8th out of 14 riders. Ms. Mabragana trains with Lendon Gray in New York.

In the beginning the Canter pirouette in 4 beat is not correct, and the hindquarters did not canter. When Steffen walked up to the horse supposedly 'on the bit' he did not correct her for an incorrect frame. Then when she moves forward, he never corrects her......so this horse is actually heavy on the forehand. Rider's legs are flopping around like a fish oout of water. Also Steffen fails to get the rider to soften rein contact.

Janet brown-Foy is no animal lover , she is wearing fur. This horse was not using his back end, the canter was tired looking and 4 time beat.
