Swimming with giant sea turtle in Kauai

Video shot off the south shore of Kauai, snorkeling with a huge sea turtle! One of the highlights of my life. This turtle was out in front of our condo every evening eating off the rocks. The only reason I was so close was that I was up against the rocks of the beach with no where to go, and the turtle kept getting closer and closer- obviously he wasn't scared of ME, but I must say I was a little intimidated by HIM, as he was as big as I was! I was PRETTY sure they were not aggressive, but then again, in the moment, underwater with a giant animal like this, it was pretty impressive and intimidating. I was hyperventilating through my snorkel! ;-) Visibility not good that day- plus we were getting slammed into the rocks by the waves, but still pretty clear shots! Very old turtle, barnacles stuck to the side of the face and body.
