@SR71halo Yes, this. I think what it was really was that people got *accustomed* to Griffith and were UBER!SHOCKED by the sudden change (he was all right as Shadow, though!). And while Griffith definitely improved by...well, by the time of Unleashed, I think Smith hits the nail on the head with Sonic's personality. I just couldn't stand Griffith's constant Usopp-like fluctuations in speech...this Sonic speaks as he thinks and he flows so naturally! Haters gonna hate.

Out of all the Sonic games, I have to say that this one has the best cut scenes. Smith as Sonic's voice is hilarious

From best to eh voice actors of Sonic
Roger Craig Smith (he really gives Sonic a personality and with Tails they sound just like brothers)
Ryan Drummond (He was good, some of his lines were over dramatic but for the most part I liked him)
Jason Griffith (He's my least favorite, but as a voice actor he did get better over time)

I'll never understand why everyone keeps saying Griffith is better. Really? You complain about him for years and now you want him back?
Smith is SO much better. He's a far better actor AND he gives Sonic more character than Griffith ever did. He can stay as long as he likes.
