Setting Up The Novation Remote SL for Use with FL Studio 8

This is a 10 minute video on how to setup the Novation ReMOTE SL midi controller for use in FL Studio 8. Once it's setup we'll take a look at the transport controls, the FL Studio Remote SL default template and two types of control mapping using the new Multilink to Controller feature of FL Studio 8. Novation's amazing Automap Universal 2.0 will NOT be examined in this video. It was tough enough to cram all of the above in a 10 minute video. In the next few weeks I will be following up with a second video that will look at Automap Universal 2.0 in detail. Hope you enjoy it.

I sorted it out, you have to download the Template editor from the Novation site and then upload the FL Studio template to the Remote SL through the editor. You can download the template from thier site as well. No respect for FL Studio users as usual I guess they erased it from the original 40 templates

Yes. You can control third-party VSTs using either custom templates or Automap. The only difference between the Zero and the other ReMote SLs is the number of keys they have.

Yes you can. It works really well Automap Universal. And I plan on doing an Automap Universal video in the near future.

Quick question for you... Does it actualy show the parameter names on the little screen above the controls? I mean, if I was to map an encoder to the fruity filter cutoff, would it show something like "cutoff" on the screen?

I have a Novation ZeRO Mk2, I'm running Automap pro 3.7 but I still can't get it to work with FL Studio, I've selected all the Additional plugins to the Zero Mk2 plugin-Manager. I've followed the answer base and DAW Setup guide. but still no response HELP

I Installed my Novation Zero SL MK2 but i dont see Remote SL port 1 2 and 3? How is that possible? Do i need to delete everything and reinstall?

thank you sooooo much mate... i'm searching the hole youtube for a vid like this. i'm using fl9 and want to get the sl mk2 49 and had some questions, but your vid showed me almost all answers i had :) the linking with the two filters on two differents channels in the mixer with the same knobs on the remote at 8:40 does this works on 3rd vst's too? and very important for me.when i save and close the project and re-open it, are the settings still existing?? can i use it with windows 7 64bit? thx
