  • im running motion 4. when you get to about 1:48 i do not see everything you se in the inspector - behaviors tab. there is no movement option and no way to analyze. please help

  • @sethjones27

Hi, Make sure the correct layer is highlighted in the Layers tab before you apply the Behavior. In my example, it's the layer labeled 'Lizard' that needs to have the Match Move behavior applied to it.

  • My clip moves sideways, and when I place the video on top of the computer and follow these steps exactly, the clip just stays in the center of the video and does not follow the computer. Any help?

  • What version of Motion are you running? I had this happen to me before, and it turned out something was corrupted. Re-installing and updating the software fixed the problem.

  • Hi Robby:

We have another tutorial that covers image stabilization. This tutorial only covers the step of tracking an image. I had to move the camera on purpose in order to show how tracking works.

  • Hi, Thank you for your positive comment. Some of these tutorials build upon concepts that I've already covered. We try to keep these tutorials relatively simple within a 2-3 minute time range. To prevent the image from moving around within the tv set, you may want to stabilize it first.

There's a tutorial called 'Image stabilization and tracking with Apple Motion' on this same channel that demonstrates how to do that.
