  • I get to watch a masterclass she's leading tonight!!!

  • Superb! The scene from Romeo et Juliette shows how much Mme. Soviero was a great singing actress - such intensity and power and a beautiful voice. Thank you for sharing.

  • Also, at the end of her weekly appearance on the game show, she and show regular Charles Nelson Reilly served spaghetti and meatballs to the panelists.

She was really fun and I'm sure the show producers were planning on asking her to return soon.

  • OK. I am familar with but not exactly an opera buff. I became familiar with Diana through of all things Match Game. Thanks to The Game Show Network. She appeared on the game show for a week in 1980 or 1981, near the show's closing. She was funny, erudite, and a pleasure to be around. And lovely. I became a fan instantly.

  • I sang with Diana in high school, even had the opportunity to sing in a quartet with here several times. All the boys had a crush on her of course. She has always been a marvelous singer and should have been much more famous.

  • Diana has been a friend since i went NUTS in 1977 at her Mimi..We have been close ever since.I consider her one of the greatest sopranos in my experience....CH

  • Marvellous - she should be a household name!

  • i think shes great! And beautiful!!!

  • I love Soviero but this was agony; I have NEVER heard any soprano take this aria so slow!!!! Way overdone for my taste but I always have admired her singing; She sang with Tri Cities Opera in Binghamton NY in the early 1970s.

  • Great to see her here on youtube. Had the pleasure of singing with her at FGO. She was a favorite with Miami audiences.
