just killed that thing in second try with a level 43 ranger, i was about 5 hits away from killing him in the first try, them I died to my own stupidity :( *RAGE*

You're welcome, man. He is a pretty tough boss, especially when you fight him for the first time, because it's hard to tell which of his attacks are deadly, so it kind of gets you by surprise.

yeah, i got killed a couple of times on this boss.

Back then i was a Defender, and i tend to get close to the enemy and hit it without moving.

I was pretty much frustrated when i died a couple of times immediately after one attack - i was like WTF!? So quickly, and so easy to die?!

But i finally realized what was the problem :)

Anyway, thx for the vid, it gave me some additional info about this boss

You're welcome. I thought the same when I first faced him. But then after reading up on the forums about it, it turned out that it only had a couple of deadly attacks that need to be avoided.

That boss is the hardest boss of the game! :P I can't believe a Manticore is stronger than a Titan (Typhon) and a God (Hades).

Just like some of the more dangerous bosses, you need to know which attacks to stay away from. It's very easy to be caught out on the first few fights against him.

That tends to happen when you're really powerful. Melee Elementalists are pretty powerful in the first 3 acts of normal and perhaps first 2 acts of epic. Act 4 normal is a nightmare though because it's hard to stay alive. Not sure how it's like after act 3 epic though, but I think it's only harder from there on.

I went melee with my elementalist too

but every time I killed small/medium size monster their corpses/bones flew away or up in the sky and fall down later after killed all

I'm just used to that, because by the time I discovered R & E, I was already into 9 and 0. I also click my mouse on every attack my character makes. Most people just hold it.

why do you press 9 & 0 for potions...i press
