Richard Greene showcases his invention "The Chop" in this performance of his own Northern White Clouds (preceded by a blues improvisation) at Bridges Hall, Pomona, CA. Feb. 12, 2010. The violin used is made by James Wimmer in Santa Barbara, CA. Richard, one of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys, wrote this inspired by an improvised solo of Monroe's heard on the Grand Old Opry.
