  • ha ha ha, and I thought I was starting to go OK in A grade, when this thing flies past me under brakes, sideways at turn 3 like I've turned my bike off!!!! was this bike on slicks???

great Vid, both my mates that came up with me were in ur other vids. Paulie on the pink ciblet and a workmate,Jordan, on the black CBR in the GSXR Vid. is there any way to get a copy of these vids by any chance?

  • Hey mate, yeah bike was on slicks, but i think it's more down to the rider!

Quite happy to pass on the videos - they're all mpg's about 70Mb each. Let me know your contact/email and I'll get in touch and send you a CD or something. Or I'll be at Oran this Sunday 6/12, and E Creek 12/12

  • Man, what is the power in HP of this bike, i have one..., FZ¨s2, and i reaaly don't know the rocket i have

  • FZ6 S2 has 72 kW (97HP) @ 12000 RPM, stock. These bikes only really go when the revs are 10k+. You're probably right, few of us actually know the rocket we have!!

  • Hey mate, just had an update from the guy riding the bike, Jason. The bike was dyno'd after a track day at Eastern Creek and peaked at 84 HP. Yamaha probably publish peak output at the crank, not allowing for losses in the transmission. Either way 84 HP appears to be enough!

  • Sony DCR-TRV22 DV cam with a wide angle lens, on a bracket that bolts onto the petrol cap. It's an older camera and now has a few loose parts after the track sessions, but still working ok! Much higher res than the bullet cams, so worth I reckon :)

  • Freaking awesome. Ive just realised what ive been doing wrong at track days on my fz6. I gotta keep the revs up it. I know it really moves up top but im so used to commuting i always seem to be riding the torque instead of the peak top end.

This next track day on sunday will be different! Thanks mate - GREAT clip.

  • any knowledge of the final transmission ratio on the bike? i have 16/48 on my FZ6 S2 atm. (stock=16/46). that looks like it could be 15/48?? just a guess...

  • complimenti!!!! Gran bel manico grande Jason...grande FZ6

  • Noooope...i wasnt on slicks. Dunlop superstock control tyres.

Thanks for the comments boys. Cant find a buyer for the FZ6 so am putting it back to road trim. Superstock 1000 for me next year...yeeeeeehaaa!!

  • Great Vid, man this guys is quick!

  • Very fast bike!

    nice video

  • Nice vid, mate. I own a 2009 FZ6N in Brazil (that's the naked version), this bike is made to scream, it suffers from split personality... it is one bike until 6-8k revs, past that it becomes Mr Hyde. Fit it with a K&N/BMC air filter and watch as the revving curve gets steeper!
