  • Yes the previews highlighted all the comedic bits, but the bulk of the material is much more dry. That is, the whole movie isn't inherently amusing, to my mind! (I was expecting more of a Coen Bros. tone.)

Ah so you're a lawyer's daughter too! We should form a club.

  • I found doing the review more entertaining too!

  • You are a smart audience too! ;)

  • Great review guys! I enjoy Matt Damon, I do agree he is very Matt Damon in many of his roles. However, I will always love him for the brilliant bar scene in "good will hunting" ;)

And yes you are a smart audience..

  • How do you like THEM apples??! ;D

  • I really want to see this! I dont usually like Damon(except for the Departed) but this looks great. Awesome review!

  • Even though his acting's very good in this, I still thought Damon was very 'Damon' in it - if you know what I mean.... Just warnin' ya! I liked him more in Talented Mr. Ripley. Thanks for watching!

  • ok..hands down, you guys are the best reviewers on youtube!.. I lean more towards Gabs POV...but a part of me (cassidy) can see where Dad is coming from too.. I was very torn with this movie because there was so much that i liked and disliked about it. In the end I think we can say it was a mediocre movie made by an otherwise good director. I could see it becoming a cult film maybe.

  • I love how he plugged his book, that was hilarious I love your dad.

  • The previews I've seen here in the USA for this movie make the Damon character seem like a comedic dufus from the Midwest. He is shown as a bumbling oaf staring into the eye of a miniaturized spy camera placed in a tablelamp while his "handlers", including Scott Bakula, roll their eyes at his ineptitude. I gather this is not a comedy then from your review.

I guess I'll watch it on cable when it comes out.

My father and grandfather were both attorneys as well; they would've like this too!

  • This review was more entertaining then the movie.

  • Ya, such a great clip.. just watched it twice :)
