Weighing in at 8.6 pounds 13 ' tall / coated in dark bronze and sized precisely the same as Hollywood's famous "Oscar". As well as being molded by R. S. Owens - Chicago, the same foundry, which produces the Oscars each & every year.
Artist Mike Davis of Richmond created several renderings of John Archer Lejeune. Is the artist who made a study of his life & times. The
face is modeled after the USPS Lejeune postage stamp.
Historian Dick Camp and Owen Connor were responsible for the NMMC supervised the WW I attire.
Note: The legendary World War I Springfield1903 rifles also weighed 8.6 pounds.
