In this solo, it appears that FD is tapping into his past, as a star baseball pitcher (where rules are clearly defined), and contrasting it with components of his contemporary life (where rules are ambivalent). The solo begins with FD running against the bases ... akin with his roots as a modern dance pioneer. It then slides into beautiful lyric movement but FD is gasping for breath. I suspect that he feels he sold his soul to the devil and is begging for redemption.
