The baboons have been sharing an exhibit area with the colobus monkeys for several years. But they will be moving to another zoo soon, and the colobus monkeys, who are currently in the Primate Reserve (in the exhibit they used to be in before they started sharing the baboon exhibit), will have the baboon exhibit all to themselves.

  • @TheEdinburghZoo Thanks for drawing my attention to your video. It looks like you did a great refurbishing job on your Guinea baboons enclosure, and the baboons obviously are enjoying it!

Unfortunately, the Philadelphia Zoo no longer has Guinea baboons.

  • What a beautiful creature - this is a great close-up! Why not check out the Guinea baboons having fun being introduced to their refurbished enclosure on TheEdinburghZoo channel!

  • This is a guinea baboon.

Thanks for asking. I just spent some time reading the latest information about chacma baboons.

Do you know any zoos other than in New Zealand that exhibit them?

  • I've always liked baboons. Unfortunately, out of 5 zoos in Louisiana, only one has baboons (Monroe, LA) and it's hours away. What type is he? Olive, guinea or chacma?
