Okey and noted by other commentor bellow, those found guity of witchcraft in England were general hung, not burnt ("It be herectics ya burn, ya hang witch")

This is partically embrassing error on this shows especially since THE VERY BOOKS THE SERSE IS BASED ON POINTS THIS FACT OUT.

Still the sketch is a funny bash at adverts for compensation claims.

Noooooooo...Actually Joan was burnt for relapsing a previous abjuration to the crime of hersey*.

Between 1440 to 1650, there were 200known excution for witchcraft in England, of which 3 were burnt.

(*Said relapsed : wearing men's clothes. Undoubtly in an effort to deter her jailers from raping her.

25 year after her death a papal court declare the sentence invalid, primary due to English bias but also ruled that Joan was just in her reasons for wearing men's clothes.)

No witches were burnt in England, suspected one were hung. the only people to be burnt were 300 Christian Protestants by the Catholic Queen Mary the 1st Aka bloody mary.

Ahhh D: This is going to annoy me so I'm pointing it out.

In Britain the punishment for being a witch was hanging, not being burnt. Accounts of burning witches happened mainly in mainland europe.
