@gavilaston first of all, this is a hands on, that's why the title says "hands on" and not "review". Besides that, what do you wanna know? I know all the specs, you are getting a feedback for the keyboard, trackpad and build quality... do you want me to check if it can fly?

I just order one of these (July 2011) the last one in stock at my store I know its already an old computer but I really like the slim design and cant wait to get my hands on it :)

Well not really if you have a bit of technical experience. You have to take out a few screws on the bottom then flip over and take out the keyboard and mouse cover then your done. You can youtube how to open a eee pc 1008ha and there should be a few videos. REMEMBER Always unplug the battery first if your gonna install ram or do anything on the inside.

@cisco760ca Hi i just got one second hand for my daughter coming in post soon and i already have a EEE PC 900 with couple of batteries and i never realised that battery was inside can it be changed is it hard to get at?

what happens if the battery goes how do you replace it?

If your on a long trip and you want yo use anoter battery are you screwed?

can you get some kind of battery pack to plug into it?

Those idiot little doors: = TOTAL FAIL. I would not buy this because of the doors, or the integrated battery. Other EeePC models are designed much better.

I wanted to buy this but its too much expensive for that how small is it... It costs like 400€... For 400€ i can buy cheaper acer with 15,6' inch and like 2gb of ram etc... I think this one is one of nicest eee pcs but useless too because of prize...

i Just bought one for 120 dollars mint condition . I already installed a 2 gig ram and windows 7 . Also added copper shims to the heat sink for better cooling . In the software i downloaded gma booster and fsb overclocker . Works like a charm for a net book . Sad part is no 720 or 1080 videos can barely work even overclocked .
