Harmful Makeup Ingredients

So after hearing from a viewer about the possibility of having my makeup palette contain lead in it, I got worried and decided to do some more research. It's amazing how much information I found, and how much harmful ingredients are still out there in the market!

Harmful ingredients to watch out for include:

Talc

Mineral Oil

Parabens

There are many others, but so far, these three have been mostly linked to health concerns.

Also, acne scarring treatment users beware of the chemical called "HYDROQUINONE." It is also potentially carcinogenic.

That's why I'm pretty wary when it comes to buying makeup from Asian manufacturers (no hate or anything, heck I'm Asian too LOL)... but I feel more comfortable buying makeup when I can see a complete ingredients list in English.

I just checked the box of one of my Mac eyeshadows and it has talc ;(

Mineral oil is in everything and petroleum (hair products) we eat %5 of it, talc is found near cancer cells. FDA sucks now where i live we have prop 65 (California) which is supposed to band most of these products but there is no federal law backing it so it's unusable. . .You Forgot one more BENZENE (gas, cigarettes) or Benzol/Benyzl in the skincare world found in almost ever skincare product

If u want to know if your lipstick contains lead.. just swatch it at the back of your hand then scratch w/ a golden ring.. if your lipstick turned black, then it contains lead..
