After being transcribed, mRNA is processed. Before mRNA can be spliced, certain features must be added. These alterations are made during mRNA processing.

  • Does the processing only happen for mRNA?

  • Splicing occurs co-transcriptionally and *before* the addition of the polyA-tail.
