  • So, I'm having a REALLY hard time getting my keeper out. The directions make it sound like when you are ready to take it out you release the suction and just pull 'er on out.... but I have to fold mine into the punch fold in order to get it in! I have only been able to pull it out once when it wasn't very painful, but I am convinced that I can! I am not a virgin, but I have not had intercourse with a man (sorry if that's TMI haha). Any suggestions? all other things are great.

  • @All4YouSophia If its possible you can try punching the rim in a bit on the way out. But being as how this cup is very firm, and the rim is flared, that can sometimes be a challenge. Its better to pinch the bottom, and rock it from side to side, and you gently coax it down. When the rim is almost out, tilt the cup tot he side, and ease out only one edge of the rim. Then slowly work it into an upright position and you take the rest out.

  • @All4YouSophia But I say ease it out from the side, because easing it out from the front, that's where the sensitive urethra is, so there can be more discomfort that way.

  • Would you reccomend these for first time users? Also, for smaller girls (ages 12-14?)

  • @maydaizyteen -- Pleanty of young teenagers use menstrual cups. But there are smaller brands for younger people, like Ladycup, Lunette, Meluna, etc.

  • @MenstrualCupInfo what if i an Petite, and have a heavy, heavy Pd should i even try?

  • @MarlenaKeller -- Petite in body size does not matter. I have seen very short and thin people who use the largest brand. And I've seen very tall and heavy people who use the smallest cup. I guess our body size is not related to our vaginal size at all. But if you mean petite in vaginal size... Cups hold more than tampons, so you could get say a average-sized cup with good capacity, and just empty it a little more frequently than other people.

  • @heathersoell Also, tampons swell up inside you. so its much the same really

  • My mooncup arrived today. Right on time too! Very curious to see how this will go this period...

  • @heathersoell -- Its all about the deisng and the nature of the product. See, its not that tampons are too big... Its that they are too cottony, absorbant, and dry. They soak up all your natural moisture, so its hard to get them in and out. But menstrual cups don't absorb anything. They let you keep all your natural moisture. Of course, at first menstrual cups take some practice, but once they have the technique down, most women find them more comfortable to wear than tampons.
