Ward V McGinley Pt 1

The Wards take on the McGinley's in another bareknuckle boxing match in a bog somewhere in the Irish midlands.

These Bare knuckle boxing fights in Ireland are fought by members of the travelling community. These fights are often staged in secluded locations with large attendances.

They are fought bare knuckle fist fights and are fought for family honour, tradition within their community and to settle old scores in a meaningful way without resorting to worse violence. They are often fought to settle who is "King of the Travellers".

In recent times large amounts of money are bet (illegally) on the outcomes of these fights and revenue is also raised from sales of amateur dvds of the fights from stalls in market fairs around Ireland.
