Brahms's purely orchestral "Academic Festival Overture" was provided with a rousing choral finale by Sir Malcolm Sargent in which the choir sings the student song 'Gaudeamus Igitur, Juvenes dum sumus' ('Let us rejoice, therefore, while we are young'). It is played here by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under Andrew Davis at the Last Night of the Proms in 1992.
