If yo uwant to *really* compare two bikes (and these with two quite different usage groups) then also include the known stats for warranty issues.

Lots of time spent on this (apples and oranges, really) debate in our neck of the woods. Fact - the Duc is stunning on road, but double fact, it's a warranty disaster. Read the Boards. The one I'm thinking of has had legion warranty returns to the workshop, and dread to think what will be the costs once its out of warranty. Three rear shock units, both cylinder heads, and now it's eaten it's gearbox. Weeks off the road, for a brand new bike.

you cant compare a adventure style bike and a touring style bike. Its like comparing wanking with your left hand and your right hand. they both wankig but its not the same...

Mcn, have you seen th gizmag video reveiw of the multistrada? That was a much better production. Go watch and learn!

GS IS A LOT BETTER THAN DUC
@SplashDamageNL You must be joking. No other way of looking at what you wrote. The GS bikes have been a legend for 30 years for precisely what you wrote. Just buy any motorbike magazine with a serious off-road test (rivers, dirt, mud, rocks etc) and you'll realise what you are saying. And that's not even getting the Adventure Edition, which basically has only a few upgrades.

Why do people insist on comparing the Multistrata to the BMW GS? They are completely different animals. You can't even put an off road tire on the Duc. Don't test adventure touring bikes and then knock the large front tire, it's moronic.
