Excellent performance from the great Clark Terry playing flugelhorn on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson". Check him out using the technique of circular breathing.
Wow! From my private collection. Enjoy...

  • Oh yes this is soooo inspirational. The circular breathing is just so ..professional and out there. In the greater scheme of things it's geat to be a great trumpeter. Unlike other instruments this instrument stops people in their tracks.

Thank you for posting this indeed ..If this was Jesus I'd say "Jesus ,Jesus."

  • Thank you for posting this. I actually had the pleasure of hearing live last year in New York City at the Blue Note Jazz club. He was special guest with the Dizzy Gillespie All Stars led by Slide Hampton. He is still playing well and he is now over 80 years

  • Just the very best, says it all.

  • After Carson, the Tonight Show will never again have enough class to put on music like this.

  • beautiful and lyrical- with just the right amount of licks

  • mr.terry was and still is a treasure to all real musicians. he made that trumpet talk.
