  • @RatPfink66 God love 'em all

  • @chrism823 Too bad Bob Woolsey didn't speak that way. He was from Oakland.

  • In the 1930s Wheeler and Woolsey were world famous in the movies and were the #2 movie comedy team behind Laurel & Hardy. Because some of their jokes were slightly off- color for early tv the films were never released to tv. So only people who remember the 30s know who they are. Search google images for Wheeler and Woolsey and you will see people standing in line to see their films.

  • Discovered (Bert) Wheeler and (Bob) Woolsey comedy films from the 1930s a while back. They were very, very funny. A great team. Check 'em out, if you don't already know about them.

Bob died in the late 30s, and Bert did some solo and stage after that. Nice to see Bert later in life on TV still as entertaining as ever.

  • It's true... now speech patterns are shifting towards "general american," the people from the midwest/west speak.

  • Great clip!

  • In those days a New York accent conferred instant credibility.
