Since Katrina, we have paid sky high prices for petroleum products, and Oil Companies have made record profits, Last year Exxon was making 14 billion + NET a quarter..So anyway you look at that if they are not taking care of how it's extracted, then it's to add more money to their profits. Transferring from manufacturing USA, to offshore with it's attendent shipping/handling costs was by design to destroy this country. The worlds greatest depression, and also the highest prices,,,mmmm

I'm not gonna hang ya. I just don't think the Bible quote is entirely accurate. I think that if you dig a little deeper you'll find that the lust for power is the root of all evil.

Not really when you figure transportation and handling of goods and then you also get middle maned, and those are the costs you see past along to the stores you shop at. Its like any business supply & demand and that where profit is made for example oil is a big one. Things that are in great need or want get high profits and of coarse are bought when people have options you see competition and hence the fair prices. That's why sombody can't sell a shirt for 50 why another is selling for 20.

It's murder for profit, like when we buy a 20.00 shirt, that cost .50 cents to make. The money we pay for goods, and for petroleum have the high cost of proper handling, and wages paid included, but is just being raked off for profit.
