This is a guided mindfulness exercise for couples that's meant to foster feelings of closeness and intimacy. Things like this can help you out when struggling together, and they can be really fun too! Check out part two for more information about this exercise.
This is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy -- a modern scientifically supported behavior therapy. It's been used to help couples that get stuck in patterns of conflict, and it can help anyone to explore their relationships in fun and creative ways.
Note: If you are currently in a high-conflict relationship, we encourage you to seek help beyond this video. Also, if you are in an abusive relationship, safety should be your first priority. Try calling the National Domestic Violence Hotline for anonymous and confidential help 24 hours a day. Their number is 1.800.799.SAFE (7233).
