GarlandG's Final Fantasy VII Speed Run - Segment 15 (Part 1)

Yep, the wait is over. The reason why it has taken so long isn't because it's the most annoying segment yet, but because I've hardly been in the mood to work on the run at all. In addition to that, I don't have as much time to play as I used to have.

It's still an annoying segment, though, but thankfully, the most luck reliant part is in the beginning. Bottomswell must be poisoned in one attempt and he must attack Cloud once, so that he's got a limit break ready for Jenova. This happened less than every fifth attempt. Of course, you have to do the Grenade shopping first, which went wrong at least half the time, so I only got past Bottomswell approx. every 10th attempt. Thankfully, I always reached Junon without getting a battle.

However, it's not over after Bottomsweel. There are many annoying parts left. First, you have to make sure not to get stuck on the old woman outside the house after sleeping. Then, you need to hit the stairs up to Priscilla's house, which really isn't as simple as it looks. Nowhere near as annoying as Don Corneo's stairs, though. In addition to all this, you have to select the second option as many as five times. Four of them are in this part. That's about all there is to say about this part.

Well done. Man, I hated that little old lady, and wanted to burn down Priscilla's stairs... Both the cause of much frustration.

The old lady is obviously bad, but it's good to hear that I'm not the only one who had trouble with Priscilla's stairs. However, the soldiers in front of the alley before marching are the worst.

garland are you playing this on a ps2 with fast disc speed/smooth textures etc. or the original playstation?

Yep, PS2 with fast disc speed and smooth textures. That makes loading a bit faster.

You must had aolt of attempts that went right untill you reached the "pillar jump", as I call it, with the dolphin. Or you remember where to go.

Yep, you're not alone on that one, I always had trouble hitting the stairs too ^^.
