I did my first 30 music videos with Windows Movie Maker. And the first 20 where with the old version before you could do Fades. So, I know what your working with. Keep working at it and you'll figure out ways to make it work for you. Again, for a first attempt, thumbs up.

Do you think anyone had tried to port this game to a U3 engine or something with better textures? Sounds like something to look into.

I really have no idea. From what I've seen the only work done on AR (professional or community) has been the unofficial patch Advent Revising.
This game definitely deserves a followup, whether in upgraded port or sequel, but with the fallout between Majesco and the Mustard Bros. I doubt that will ever happen.

that's great to hear tosh1337 but, sadly no, there is only one advent rising. the developer (glyphx) folded, leaving the rights to the game in the hands of majesco (the publisher) and the creative ability is now at chair entertainment (which is owned by epic). So, again sadly, there will probably never be an advent 2 or 3.
but definitely pick up advent rising and enjoy!
