Ekling temple and Jagdish temple in Udaipur is another tragedy. The sculptures are becoming black due to dirt and bird droppings. Will Govt. of Rajasthan or any authority concerned will atleast wash them so that these priceless art can be preserved for future generations. I request people of India to take up these matters with in proper forum to improve the situation.
LOTS OF MONEY IS BEING COLLECTED IN THE FORM OF DONATIONS BUT NOBODY BOTHERS TO KEEP THEM CLEAN OR TO MAINTAIN THEM. THE OUTER WALLS ARE GETTING DIRTY. THEY SHOULD ATLEAST WHITE WASH THEM. Is anyone listening to these things. When will Jain temple trust or Govt of Rajasthan or Govt. of India or M/o Tourism wake up to see the reality? At least will we Indians, great Indians show some concern to this priceless structures and try to awake the govt. to preserve them etc.?
I visited these temples recently. No one on this earth can create or replicate such beauty in the present times. But the problem is we Indians can not even preserve such priceless structures. I was pained to see that there is no proper maintenance. The ceilings (actual beauty lies there) are gathering dust, bird droppings and the figures are getting erased.
I have been to Mount Abu and also to this Dilwara Temple in 1993.We originally went to Ambaji Temple but then we also inculded this temple.I was almost missing to see this temple but we made really good decision to see it and I am glad that we did.It was amazing and design of each and every temple is breath taking.Anyone going to Mount Abu please don't missed these temples.
