@Delic0usz itachi didnt gave the mangekyou to sasuke, itachi just rigged sasuke's eye so it would activate amaterasu when he see tobi's sharingan. if sasuke had the mangekyou from itachi, then sasuke's mangekyou would have the shape of itachi's mangekyou.

@jbwolf4 that part still hasn't been revealed yet. Maybe there is another way to obtain the mangekyou sharingan. Or maybe someone gave it to him like itachi gave to sasuke? Another possible explanation would be that kakashi activated it shortly after the cave collapsed and obito died, what happened after that was never showed so it's possible.
